Sell
Sell us your shipping container
Finished with your container? Don't let it rust in the paddock — we buy used 10ft, 20ft and 40ft units across Hawke's Bay. Photos in the morning, offer by the afternoon, Hiab pickup arranged.
1. Send photos
Outside all four walls and roof if you can reach it, inside with the doors open, and a close-up of the door seals. Text or email them with the container's location.
2. Get a real offer
We price on what containers actually resell for in the Bay — not lowball scrap numbers. You'll usually have a figure the same day, either delivered-to-us or collected.
3. We handle the lift
Accept, and we arrange the Hiab and pay on collection. No listing fees, no tyre-kickers from Marketplace, no waiting weeks for a buyer with a crane truck.
Trade up, trade in, or cash out
Selling isn't always the end of the story. Plenty of customers trade a tired 20ft against a newer unit, swap a standard for a high cube ahead of a conversion, or use our buy-back to turn last year's site box into part-payment for this year's fitted office. If you're upgrading, tell us — the trade price is usually better than a straight sale.
Selling your container — common questions
How much is my used shipping container worth? +
It depends on size, age, condition (doors, seals, floor, rust) and where it's sitting. As a rough guide, sound wind-and-watertight 20ft units fetch meaningful money in Hawke's Bay because local demand is strong. Send photos and we'll give you a number, usually same day.
Do you collect the container, or do I deliver it? +
We can arrange Hiab collection anywhere in Hawke's Bay and factor transport into the offer, or you can deliver to our Onekawa yard for the best price.
Will you buy a modified container (office, sleepout)? +
Often, yes — good conversions have resale value. Send photos inside and out, plus any electrical certification, and we'll assess it like any trade-in.
Do you buy back containers you sold? +
Yes — that's the point of our buy-back option. If your need ends, we repurchase at fair market value, which often makes buying cheaper than long hire terms.
What condition issues kill the value? +
Holed roofs or floors, doors that don't close and seal, and structural rust in the rails. Surface rust and dents are normal and priced accordingly — don't assume yours is worthless before asking.
