Why hire from a local yard
The big national hire companies quote from a call centre and truck containers in from wherever. Our fleet lives in Onekawa: shorter delivery runs mean lower delivered cost, swaps and pickups happen fast, and if something's ever wrong with a unit, the owners sort it — same day, not next ticket.
Hire terms are flexible. One month during a move, six months over a build, or multi-year leases for businesses — long-term rates step down accordingly, and we'll tell you honestly when buying (with our buy-back option) beats hiring for your timeframe.

Container hire — common questions
How much does it cost to hire a shipping container? +
Hire rates vary with size, condition and term — short renovation hires price differently to multi-year leases. Call 06 835 3010 for current rates; we're consistently competitive locally because the yard is ours, not a franchise.
What's the minimum hire period? +
We're flexible — talk to us about your actual timeframe. Renovation-length hires (1–3 months) are common, and long-term leases get better rates.
Does hire include delivery? +
Delivery and pickup are quoted alongside the hire rate so you see the full cost up front. Within Napier and Hastings both legs are short runs.
Hire or buy — which is cheaper? +
Rule of thumb: needs under about a year favour hiring; anything longer favours buying (especially since we buy containers back). We'll do this maths with you honestly before you commit either way.
Can I hire a modified container — office or insulated unit? +
Yes — fitted site offices and insulated units are available to hire, subject to fleet availability. Tell us the job and the term.
